Do you take it for granted?

Imagine living in a world with no feelings, no emotions, no colours, and no sensitivity. A world where you couldn't describe how you
felt, even if you wanted to. Happy, sad, loved, excited, joyful, hate, funny, hilarious, warm, hot, cold, pain, honest. A world where you couldn't embrace your feelings. A world only filled with the colour, black or white. A world where colours didn't exist. A world with no blue sky, no green grass, no red cars, no yellow flowers, no rose gold iPhones. No colours at all- red, yellow, blue, green, orange, purple, silver, gold, brown, turquoise, cream, pink.

A world where you couldn't feel or embrace anything. A world where you couldn't embrace your emotions. A world where pain would not exist. A world where you couldn't feel the warmth of a campfire. A world where you couldn't touch the cold snow. A world where you wouldn't be able to feel the breeze of the gentle wind. A world where you couldn't feel the touch of water. A world where you couldn't feel the soft golden sand gently sink beneath your feet.

A world where you couldn't enjoy the sound of music. A world where you couldn't get lost into the notes of music. A world that did not have the calm noise of rain. A world where there were no animals making their own beautiful sounds. A world were cars did not exist. A world where birds didn't tweet. A world where ducks didn't quack.

A world where you couldn't enjoy all your delicious foods. A world where you couldn't taste the cupcakes, pizza, chocolate, fizzy drinks, water, tea, coffee, pasta, noodles, crisps, fruits, vegetables.

A world where you couldn't embrace the coldness that passes through you when you drink a cold drink. A world where the warmth rises within you when you see an adorable baby who is happy. A world where you couldn't feel the pain when you see/hear some heart-breaking news. A world where no peace gathers in you when you relax. A world where the fun that rises within your inner child is nowhere to be seen. A world where you did not know what happy or sad was. A world with no attachments. A world that had no meaning.

A world with no hot sun or freezing snow. A world with no noise or technology. A world where you had no choice. A world with no freedom. A world where everyone was equal. A world where everyone was the same. A world that everyone had to fit in. A world where you had no place to call home. A world with no love. A world where hate did not exist. A world with no wars. A world where you couldn't pick who you wanted to be. A world where you had no emotions or feelings.

So why do you take this world for granted? -Do you take little things for granted?
Just before I go I'm going to finish by saying- Enjoy each and every moment of life. The sounds, the feelings, the colours in life and all the other beautiful thing life has to offer.

Don't take it for granted.

  3. Such a great and inspirational post, Rose! Many people take small (and big) things for granted but we have to remember to give thanks for everything and remember the value of the kindness and love.

  4. Thank you for sharing this post! I think sometimes one tends to take too much for granted and therefore I try to appreciate the little things as much as possible - but I think still not enough.
