I done it for myself and you should too...

Source

I think in life everyone should take time and do something for themselves. I want you to think about what inspires you? What is your passion? What do you love doing? Whether it is cake decorating, baking, cooking, cleaning, volunteering, makeup, henna or anything else- sky really is the limit here. Whatever you like doing, go do it

Go do a course in it, find more information about it and most importantly love every moment of it.

I recently got asked by someone ‘why did you want to do a makeup course?’ and the person was shocked of my answer which was ‘I done it for myself’.
I didn’t do it for others, I didn’t do it so it can become my profession, I didn’t do it because I had to. I simply done it because it’s something I’ve always loved doing and had a passion for.
Experimenting with different hairstyles and makeup looks has always been one of my favourite things to do. I got to a point in life where I decided I wanted to explore the world and I wanted to do more things for myself!
Not only did I learn things about makeup, hair or henna but I learnt things about life which will stay with me forever. I had the opportunity to meet amazing people who I learnt something from. For the first time in my life I was soo happy and content because I was doing something for myself. To tell you the truth no feeling in the world can come close to it.

Sometimes we get caught up with our jobs, duties, responsibilities and we just carry on living and doing things just for the sake of it. But, when was the last time you done something that made your happy from within? When was the last time you got lost and had an adventure? When was the last time you had fun? When was the last time you put yourself first?

We live in a world where our opportunities are endless and it’s something we should be grateful for and welcome all opportunities with open arms. Don’t neglect the time you have. Spend it wisely and go do something for yourself because you truly deserve it. Everyone deserves to be happy. Doing something you love doesn’t mean you have to turn it into a profession, or you have to stick to it. Instead you do it for the times you want to escape the world. For the times you want to relax, and for the times you want to be happy. I say go out there and do something you really love.

I would love to know what is your hobby, what do you love doing that makes you really happy? And do you think it's time for you to do something for yourself?

  1. Really insightful post lovely. It's so important to do things for YOU and follow your heart.
I'd say my main hobby, besides blogging, is baking - I'd love to learn how to bake more things like pastry and pies! x

  4. I like how you said that you don't have to stick to it. That takes a bit of the edge off because I always feel like I have to master what I take on. I do agree loving the things you do makes life so much more enjoyable.

    Much Love,

  15. I LOVE the message behind this post, Ramsha! And in your case, not only was makeup one of the hobbies your loved, but a real talent of yours too! Literally just last night I lit a candle in my room, left my phone outside my room and sat on my bed reading a magazine - no distractions. It was just so lovely. I think my two hobbies that are purely for myself are reading and music <3
