11 ways to keep your life simple. Part 2

Welcome back to the second part of '11 ways to keep your life simple'. If you haven't checked out the first part then make sure you check it out as the first 11 ways to keep your life simple are there. This post will carry on and tell you an additional 11 ways that you can keep your life simple. Let's begin...

1. Cut out the drama
Literally, cut out the unnecessary drama from your life. If you aren’t even involved in the drama then stop trying to get involved. You probably have a busy life of your own with your own problems so stop jumping in other people’s problems when it has nothing to do with you. Yes I’ve heard it a million times in school ‘she’s my friend so if you mess with her, you mess with me’- No, no, no, no… yes she may be your friend but that isn’t your mess to deal with, it’s hers. Concentrate on your own life and your own problems and stop getting involved in other people’s business. This also means don’t needlessly create your own drama because it really takes a lot of your precious time and energy.

2. Smile! Smile! Smile! And Smile!
Ever heard the saying ‘smiling is contagious’ well it really is! If you smile at someone who is having a bad day, chances are you’ll make their day that tiny bit better. Keep smiling and even if you’re having a bad day it’ll make your day even better.

3. Give compliments like throwing confetti.
Compliments are another thing that can make anyone’s day! You can never get enough of compliments and who doesn’t love them, right? Compliment your loved ones and even strangers! I guarantee that it’ll make their day.

4. Respect and patience.
Give respect to everyone the same way you would like to be respected and have the same level of patience with everyone that you would have with a baby crying. Giving and earning respect is easy but once it's broken it’s hard to fix.

5. Apologise.
There’s nothing wrong with apologising, especially not when you’re in the wrong. Apologising never makes anyone a smaller person but only bigger! So apologise when you need to and don’t bicker with someone who isn’t willing to listen or understand.

6. Don’t be scared or shy.
Don’t be scared of learning or doing something new. Doing new things may open doors of opportunities that you have always dreamed of. Don’t be shy of meeting new people, talking to others or even communicating with them because you could have just ignored someone who could have been your best friend for life! So take the risk and step out of your comfort zone.

7. Spend time with likeminded people.
Spend time with people who drive you in the right direction, who will continue to push you forward instead of backwards and who are good company. There’s nothing worse than being in bad or negative company because it can have a MASSIVE impact on your, so always try to be in positive company who are likeminded individuals.

8. Stop worrying about what other people think.
Just stop. You need to stress about what others think about you or your actions because they don’t pay your bills, provide you with food and run your life. You are the driver of your own life so stop worrying: you don’t need the headache.

9. Make mistakes and know that you’re not always right.
Accept that you can be wrong and you’re not always right. Accept to make mistakes and learn from them. Laugh about your mistakes and move along with life. Don’t hold any negative energy, just learn and move on.

10. Focus on things which will help you grow as a person.
Do the things that will help you grow and improve as a person. Do the things you have always wanted to do but never got the chance of doing. Keep learning, reading, experiencing and gaining.

11. Don’t hide yourself away!
Be open to new ideas, cultures, recipes, religions, thoughts, and people. Don’t keep on hiding yourself away, instead meet the world and the beauty of it. Be open to learn about new things, about the world and yourself.
