My Z Bridal Training Academy Experience

I wanted to just do a hair and makeup course for myself, however I found a lost passion that sparked inside of me when I started to do the course. I contacted a lot of big academies for hair and makeup however Z Bridal were the ones that got back to me really fast and were very open and informative. They gave me all the information I needed and without thinking much I decided to take the opportunity and book myself on the course.

I didn't want to live in Bradford for a week because for me 'There's no place like home' and I love my bed too much haha! Every day I would get up and drive to Bradford for two hours and it would take me two hours to come back, and by the time I got home it was pretty late (good job I love driving). You have to sacrifice something in order to achieve something.

The first day when I was driving down to Bradford I had all these questions- Will I learn everything in five days? Would it be enough time? What if it's not for me? What if it ends up like a disaster? Will everyone there be nice? Will the teacher be nice? Will they help me if I get stuck? By the end of day one I had no doubts

I learnt everything in five days and it was enough time to learn everything. Our teacher Sahida Sardar would demonstrate a look then we would have to recreate the look, and Sahida Sardar would not give it a thumbs up until it was up to her standards (I loved this!) I ended up loving every second of it! I didn't want to leave, I enjoyed everything about it. EVERYONE was soo nice, supportive and very kind. There were four of us on the course and we all got the attention we required. I have never done makeup on anyone else other than myself before going on the course and I ended up loving it. I found a lost passion for hair and makeup. I was committed to it and I knew I wanted to do this.

The first two days we learnt party, bridal makeup application and the next two days we learnt different types of party and bridal hair, and dupatta setting then the last day we had a professional photoshoot for two different looks. One look was bridal and the other was a party look. At the end I walked away with soo much knowledge about hair and makeup and I received an accredited BABTAC approved certificate and a professional photo-shoot to showcase my work.

One of the good things out of many the academy has to offer is that even after a couple of years, or if you forget something you can arrange to come back in for free and watch other students and learn it all again if you have forgotten! I was lucky enough to experience Sahida Sardar herself, working on some brides! It was amazing seeing what we were taught being put into practice and the clients looked AMAZING!!

Sahida Sardar is such an awesome woman! Not only does Sahida Sardar teach us about hair and makeup but she also teaches us about life and especially how a woman in the Asian community can build up her own empire and be happy & successful. Sahida Sardar is such a wonderful woman and her studio is always positive and uplifting. There could be a massive storm outside but the positivity in the studio will never be affected. Sahida Sardar is a very inspirational, humble and talented person!

I would totally recommend this course if you want to learn more about makeup or are thinking about starting in the industry. It was a great experience, I learnt a lot and I met some amazing people.

This is where my journey began from.
