you! You are your own competition. Remember when you were young and someone may have compared you to someone else, and you didn't like the feeling of being compared to others. So why do you think it's acceptable to compare yourself with others when you don't like others doing it to you.
Do you look at someone and feel insure? Do you look at someone and believe that you need to have a certain amount of recognition, success, job status, clothes, or even money to feel good about yourself? Just look at yourself, and ask what do you really want in life? What is your goal and purpose? Then plan on how you will get there and accomplish your dream(s). It doesn't matter how much you actually have but what matters is how you value what you have, and how you will go after what you want. Stop competing and comparing yourself with others and focus on yourself. Trust me, you will feel much better about yourself.
We all bring something different to the world. But looking at someone else and trying to compete with them all the time is only going to make you negative. Instead you should be happy for them, and be positive. What you are meant to get, you will. And what others are supposed to get, they will. No one can stop that, but you can stop competing with others. Compete with yourself, that way every day you wake up you become a better version of yourself. You finally start being happy because you don't care what others are doing. Yes be happy for others but don't ever compete with them. Try to open your heart and feel happy for others.
Try to build your positive energy.
Your success is written differently, your story is different, and your skills & talents are different, so just smile and enjoy the journey.

Love this a whole lot, everything I stand for. I love that the phrase "you do you!" is becoming so popular in society now!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love that quote, and your dark hair!
I love your superpower - so original! I’m totally going to be guilty of slowly but surely making my way through your Florence posts now (it would have been such an amazing experience!!!). I adore your how you would like to be remembered by others words! You’re so awesome <3

Thank you <3!
DeleteGreat post, very inspiring :) I used to be like that - comparing myself to other people, always thinking 'But this person is so much prettier/smarter/more interesting'. I don't do that anymore, though. I've realised now that even those who may seem perfect, have their flaws - we all do. You should always try to be a better version of yourself, not others :) <3

Thank you lovely! I'm so glad you've been able to focus on yourself. I couldn't agree more with your last statement :) xo
DeleteGreat post! Can I add a quote which i think suits very well with your post? A flower doesn't think of competing to the flower next to it. It just blossoms...
ReplyDeleteYES!! I love that quote <3

DeleteI couldn't agree more, girl! The positive attitude of us, determine the future and the success ahead. Comparing only makes everything worse - if done in a negative way, like obsessive thinking.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I couldn't agree any more with you comment. xo
DeleteSuch a lovely read it was. It is true we shouldn't compare ourself with anyone. Feel confident and always do good is my motto!
ReplyDeleteFatima | www.blogsbyfa.com
Glad you enjoyed it! Such a great motto! xo
DeleteAbsolutely wonderful post, hon. Your thoughts are always so lovely and definitely helpful to anyone. I don't understand why we often compare ourselves to others, if we are given such a unique opportunity of being ourselves - no one can be us :)
ReplyDeleteNo to bitterness, Yes to uniqueness and individuality!

DeleteThis is a great post. Although, I also have an anxiety disorder partnered with perfectionism, which means I *do* compete with myself, which can have pretty bad consequences. But it's all about balance. :)

Thank you for your comment beaut! Exactly, balance... it's super important :) xo
DeleteLovely post & one I can identify with. Always be the best version of yourself & the best version doesn't need to compete with anyone else but themselves xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! I couldn't agree more <3! xx
DeleteReally good article. Sometimes comparing yourself to others comes from a lack of confidence. We often think that if we're better than someone else it makes us more important. Wish is not true

ReplyDeleteVery motivational piece of writing
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteLove this post, agree with it 100%! I delve into this topic so much on my blog because it's so common and takes a lot of inner work to overcome it. Great reminder!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Glad you enjoyed the post. I couldn't agree more, it needs a lot of inner work. :)
DeleteAnother way to express a positive attitude towards others is to think of our relations with them as a means of 'collaborating' not 'competing'.
ReplyDeleteThat way, we begin to look for ways we can achieve greater things together NOT diminish each other in any way.
Such a great thought! Loved your comment <3
DeleteThanks for this very inspiring article sis!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCompetition is unhealthy. I had someone competing with me...whatever I would buy she would....it affected our relationship
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! Thank you for your comment xo
