Mintycoco Oil Pulling Review* Is it worth it?

Mintycoco supports ‘The Rainbow Centre in Sri Lanka’ therefore every sachet sold they are helping children escape extreme poverty and providing them with a better environment.

Mintycoco oil pulling has a natural oral detox which is designed to erase strains from your teeth and to eliminate bad bacteria, for a healthier mouth and a whiter smile. Mintycoco have introduced an oil pulling treatment (which is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique which involves you swishing the product around your mouth for 5 to 15 minutes. This technique helps to get rid of toxins from your body which results an improvement in oral health.

Peppermint has many benefits as it is a medicinal herb and has antispasmodic and pain-killing properties plus it’s still used today to treat headaches, digestive complaints and coughs. Peppermint has antibacterial effects and let’s not forget that the essential oil of peppermint is valued by herbalists and natural healers. Coconut oil has many benefits and it has been proved more over the last few years. So together peppermint and coconut oil have a great benefit to your oral health. You can read more about Oil Pulling here and see if it actually works here.

How to use
I loved how informative the leaflet was that came in the box, it explained everything I wanted to know so I wasn’t left questioning the product. The sachets are solid at room temperature and they must be liquid before you use them. The easiest way I found to make it liquid was to leave it under a warm/hot running tap for a few seconds and you’re done. Afterwards you swish it around your mouth for 5 to 15 minutes then spit it out and brush your teeth afterwards.

First impressions
At first I was very scared to use this new technique because it was something I have never heard of before, nonetheless I was informed well about the product. The first few times felt very weird (it was mentioned clearly so I was expecting it) and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t choke on it a few times. After that I realised the full sachet was too much so I ended up using half the sachet which was still more than enough. This did mean that I was having more left over which is great because I used a hair grip horizontally on the sachet and the liquid sachet would be hard at room temperature. During the swishing part keep yourself busy by tidying up, watching YouTube videos or by reading some blog posts otherwise time will be very hard to pass.

My teeth are extremely sensitive so to see that they weren’t affected was great because many teeth whitening products make your teeth more sensitive so I loved that this was a very natural product which didn’t make your teeth sensitive.
After the first use I did notice a change, however as the duration finished I noticed a slight change overall. At first it is a very unpleasant feeling because you are not used to it however after a week you slightly get used to it because you know what you’re expecting.
I feel like there comes a point where the liquid starts turning into the original product so you just must spit it out! It’s very important make sure that you do not swallow the product.
The product does taste nice but it only lasts for a minimal amount of time. Once you brush your teeth then you're back to your normal taste.

(Back of the box)

It’s a great affordable product if you want to try something new. I feel like many will love Mintycoco and it doesn't make your teeth sensitive one bit! How amazing right? This product did leave me orally healthy and extremely clean however I don’t feel like this product was for me. The company are fabulous and very approaching. If you are looking for a new natural teeth whitener product, then Mintycoco are your guys!
