7 ways to say YES to opportunities

I won't be the first or last to admit that we all at some point in our life, stop or limit ourselves because it means we have to go outside of our comfort zone. We're all scared of going outside of our comfort zone because we're not comfortable with it. It's something new and we are scared of trying it. But sometimes, we need to go outside of our comfort zone in order to learn new things, explore and say yes to more opportunities.
Over the past year, saying yes to more things has been an aim of mine. I'm not going to lie, there have been many times where I have tried to talk myself out of doing things because it was something new to me. But, out of all the new opportunities I have received I would say, I now turn down opportunities because I simply am not ready. You need to step out of your comfort zone slowly and that's exactly what I have been doing and am still trying to do. I want to share 7 tips that will give you that little push in saying yes more.

1. Have the intention to do more.
The most important thing is to make sure you have a pure intention to do more. You need to be motivated and have the right mindset which allows you to say yes more often. You really need to influence your mind and look forward to any opportunities that may come your way.

2. Make some aims up.
Write down some of the things you want to do. Saying yes to more opportunities doesn't always mean a new career, it could even be as little as trying something new in your own life. It can be to meet new people, put your opinion across more, do a good deed a day or even try new types of foods. The things you can aim for are huge.

3. Don't be scared of new things.
It can be very, very, very daunting to do something that means going outside of your comfort zone. It could be to talk to someone new but don't be scared. You are amazing and you need to take little steps so don't be scared. Be brave and just go for it, you won't lose anything if you try.

4. Keep going outside of your comfort zone.
This post is all about going outside of your comfort zone, taking little steps at a time but don't stay comfortable in one zone. Keep aiming to go outside of your comfort zone and keep going. Keep trying new things and you will surprise yourself.

5. Try new things and just do it.
Once you try new things then you won't want to give up. It could be as small as trying a new fruit but don't give up. Try the fruit you've never tried because how do you know you don't like it? You could end up loving it and it could become your favourite fruit. So anything you've never tried before, give it a go and see how you feel afterwards. The chances are you may either like it or dislike it but you'll never know until you try it.

6. Share your talent with the world.
This will be the most unique point out of all of the rest but it's very important. Share your talent(s) with the world. If you have a love for baking, cooking, photography, blogging, singing or whatever you enjoy doing and you know deep down you are good at it, then share it. Tell everyone you know and be proud of your unique talent(s) because this may lead to new opportunities coming your way.

7. Don't talk yourself out of it.
The most important one out of all of these points is do not talk yourself out of it. If you have made a plan, don't cancel it. Even if your mind tells you to cancel it, don't or divert your mind by saying ''I'll wait'' or ''see how you feel then''. But never, talk yourself out of it. Don't forget it's OK to say no if you're not comfortable with it, but don't make it a habit to say no to the things you know you will enjoy in life.

These are my seven tips that will hopefully help you. If you have any other tips then I'd love to hear them so leave a comment below.

Until next time, take care and keep smiling<3
