Have you ever felt sick and tired of blogging? Like you have no motivation to write about anything, and your mind is blank? Well, this post will give you five ways you can fall back in love with blogging


1. Get rid of the negative thoughts

It’s normal to get negative thoughts and we all have them. Blogging can sometimes become an emotional roller coaster. From being too self-critical and starting to believe online trolls. Putting yourself online is a huge deal! You might think that people don't want to read what you write or be interested in what you have to say. You may also feel nervous to click ‘publish’ on many posts you create. But, at the end of the day, look at the bigger picture. You have created a platform which is yours! It’s your little space on the web. You have a community, and people are reading and liking your thoughts. Even if you get one view, that should be enough for you to carry on. In time, you will build up your own tribe. You just need to thrive on and keep on doing your thing. 


2. The don’ts… 

Don’t expect to pick up from where you left. Don’t expect your old blogging buddies to be there. Don’t expect anything from anyone. Don’t care about the negative thoughts. Don’t care about how it may feel to get back into blogging. Don’t be disappointed that the people, the community and things have changed. Try to find a new tribe, try to communicate more with others, try to join online twitter chats, and engage with others. 


3. Time 

We’re all busy, whether we blog all of the time, sometimes or rarely. Everyone is busy. That’s it. We have to make time ourselves. Can you try waking up 10 minutes early to blog? Or, could you try to figure out a new routine for yourself which includes blogging? Time is something we all need more of. Unfortunately, days are flying by like no tomorrow so make the most of today. Something which really helps me is having the ‘word document’ app installed on my phone. So if I’m waiting for an appointment, or have five minutes spare, I get out my phone and start writing. Then when I have time, I edit the post and schedule it. Try installing a writing app on your phone or tablet. 


4. Just write

Just start writing and posting online. It doesn’t matter how long you have been away for. Just start writing. All you need is just an explanation on a blog post, and then get back into the swing of things. It may feel awkward but try to ignore that feeling. Soon, you’ll fall in love with blogging again. It’s also important to write about the things you are passionate about. Trust me when I say that people stop blogging because they were blogging about something they were not passionate about. If you keep blogging about something which you don’t enjoy or aren’t passionate about then you will eventually stop writing. So, make sure, you love the ideas and content you are creating. Because, if you’re not proud of the posts you write or love, then how can you expect your readers to read them? 


5. Redecorate, redesign, and recreate 

Go back to old posts you’re not happy with and delete or redesign them. If your old images are something you’re not proud of then get new images, and make sure your old blog post layout is the same as your new one, or at least something you’re proud of. Sometimes, we need to take a step back in order to move forwards. Even if it means going through your old blog posts that you’re not happy with. If you’re not happy with the layout or design of your blog, then change it. Invest in a new design for your blog or learn how to create a platform you’re proud of.
