Learn how to avoid negative emotions

One thing I have learned in life is by being positive you don’t regret anything. But, by being negative and allowing negative emotions to run through you, it causes more harm than good. 

REMOVE TOXIC PEOPLE OR PEOPLE THAT MAKE YOUR UNHAPPY FROM YOUR LIFE 
The company you surround yourself with is your influence. If you’re not around good influential people who bring out the best in you, then you’re not going to be happy and you will feel negative emotions. If something or someone doesn’t add value to your life, then simply remove them from your life. Sometimes it may be hard, but small steps and the need to change is all it takes to build a better lifestyle. 

TRY TO SEE THINGS FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE 
Instead of seeing the worst in everything and everyone, learn to see things from new perspectives. If someone is doing something which doesn’t sit right with your values, then try to see it from different perspectives. You don’t know what the other person may be going through. 

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH UPLIFTING INDIVIDUALS 
Be around people who bring out the best in you and make you want to become a better person. 

AVOID DRAMA + ARGUMENTS
Drama allows negative emotions to build inside of you. Instead, avoid it and avoid people who get pleasure out of such habits. Life is super short to be involved in dramas or becoming involved in other people’s lives. People that spend time criticising others, if they spent that same time on themselves, they would become so different. There is no point in arguing with others. It’s NORMAL to have different opinions, values and thoughts to someone else. That’s what makes us all unique, but you can’t start an argument with someone because they are different. If you see that an argument may form, then remove yourself from the situation. 

BE A BIGGER PERSON 
Leading on from the last point. Sometimes you need to forgive and forget. Sometimes you just need to be a bigger person to avoid situations from escalating for no reason at all. 

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET + FIGHT THE NEGATIVITY INSIDE YOU 
The best way to challenge your negative emotions is by realising what is causing you to be like that. Then, start to change your mindset. Learn to see the good in everything and fight the negativity within you. It’s harder said than done, but it’s not impossible. You need to learn to become open-minded and not be afraid of change. 

THINK OF THE IMPACT OF YOUR ACTIONS 
Think before you speak. Think of the impact that your actions will have on other people. If you know something will hurt someone then avoid it. There’s no need to hurt other people’s emotions or feelings. Even if people hurt you, you can’t fight fire with fire. You’ll feel much better if you let things go. Rather than, trying to win an argument. 

Remember, the beauty of silence hurts more than anything.
