Learn how to find yourself

Often, we can feel lost and find ourselves not knowing who we are or what our purpose is. The truth is we all have a purpose in life, whether we realise it or not. We start to put limitations on our abilities, achievements and the things we can do. We need to realise that every single day we change and grow. To truly feel free, you need to find out who you are, what things you enjoy and what makes you the happiest. 

The simple way to find yourself is by doing more of the things you enjoy. When you do the things you enjoy, it’ll bring a sense of purpose and belonging. You’ll start to realise the things which you should be doing more of and what brings you joy. If you keep on doing the things you don’t like or things which make you feel unhappy then you’re just harming yourself. Take yourself out of that situation, and you’ll start to feel much better and more content. 

The best way to find out who you are is by trying new things. It’s OK if you don’t like something, at least you can say you’ve tried it and gave it a go. But, if you like it then you can start to do more of it. Finding new hobbies/activities is a great way to discover the things you like, enjoy and even don’t like. 

Be conscious of everything around yourself. Learn to live in the moment and recognise your feelings. Know when you need to take a break. Learn to take time out for yourself. There is nothing wrong with taking time out to focus on yourself so you can live a healthier lifestyle. 

The biggest way to find yourself is by stepping outside of your comfort zone and even challenging yourself. We all have that feeling of nervousness, anxiety and even feeling scared when we want to challenge ourselves to step outside of our comfort zone. But, remember, take small steps. Even a small step is a huge progress. Just know that it’s okay to feel nervous. The biggest way you will grow and find out who you are is by stepping outside of your comfort zone and even challenging yourself. 

Don’t be afraid to put yourself and your needs first. We all deserve to be happy, and if something in your life is making you unhappy then begin to change it. If there’s someone in your life who does nothing but bring you unhappiness, then it’s time to remove them from your life. Start saying ‘no’ to things you don’t enjoy and take time for yourself. If you feel like you’re getting overwhelmed by certain aspects of your life, then start to make time for yourself. Work on the things you need to. 

It doesn’t matter how confident someone may seem there is always room for improvement. Someone may be confident in one thing but not the other. You will be confident in some things and not others. But, that’s perfectly OK. No one is perfect, but we can learn to recognise our skills and learn to have believe in ourselves. The biggest thing you can do for yourself is to BELIEVE in YOU! If you don’t, then how can you expect others to? 

We all change. We’re changing every day. For us to love who we are, we need to find who we are. Don’t be afraid to work on improving yourself so you become better than you were yesterday.
