How to save up and budget

How to budget and save up

Have you got a goal in mind? Are you wanting to save up for a certain goal or event? Do you have a wedding to save up for or a holiday you want to go on? Then, this post will give you some tips on how you can save up.

MAKE A SPREADSHEET

Make a monthly spreadsheet of all your expenditure and savings! When you have a spreadsheet it’s easy to see where you’re spending most of your money. It becomes easier to see if you can save from somewhere. For example, if you’re spending £100.00 on shopping for clothes each month, do you really need to? Or could you save that? It’s a great way to track your expenses and keep a record of everything.

BARGAIN

A great way to save some money is by searching online where you can buy something cheaper. So, if you’re looking to buy something, search online where you can buy it for cheaper. This will help you to save some money.

COIN BANK

Get your hands on a coin bank or piggy bank. Every time you see yourself left with some spare change, put it in the coin bank. At the end of each month see how much you make! It’s amazing how much change you can add up at the end of the month.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS

See if you can find yourself some alternative options and try to save money each opportunity you get. Instead of going shopping every month, could you go every two months? Or, instead of shopping in a high-end store, could you shop elsewhere for the same things? So, try to look for alternative options for each activity you do.

DON’T BUY THINGS

Alright, so it’s a simple one... DON’T purchase the things you DON’T NEED. Only buy things that you absolutely need and cannot live without. Don’t buy extra things if you don’t need it. Before purchasing something, ask yourself if you really need it, or would you actually use it?

These are just some of my tips on how you can save up. How do you save up?

Thanks for reading!
Until next time, take care and keep smiling.
