How to balance blogging with life commitments

How to balance blogging with life commitments

If blogging isn’t a full-time thing for you, then trying to juggle the balance with life and other commitments is hard! Of course, full-time blogging and being a full-time parent will be hard. But, trust me, when you blog for a hobby and have all these other commitments like working, studying, volunteering and other hobbies, then blogging is hard too! Trying to get a balance takes time, and it’s super hard. Hopefully, in this post, I’ll be able to give you some tips on how you can balance blogging with your life commitments.

The best thing you can do is grab a planner and plan your days/weeks/months ahead. If you work nine to five then write it in your diary, and work around it. Write every single thing you do down in your planner. This will help you become more organised and you will be able to plan your days ahead much better.

If you have spare time then use it well. If you need to get up a little early for a task then don’t be afraid to. If you want to grow your blog then don’t be afraid to put the time and effort in. If you have spare time then write some blog posts if you’re feeling motivated, or visit other blogs. There are so many things you can be doing, just don’t waste your time.

Though this is similar to planning, I wanted another point for scheduling. It’s super helpful when you have posts scheduled as it eases your mind when you’re busy or get caught up with other things. If you can also schedule your social media accounts. Schedule for the week or month ahead, and when you get time, schedule some more! Scheduling helps enormously.

Experiment to see what works for you. It took me over a year to figure out what works for me and my lifestyle. So, don’t be afraid to experiment and don’t get disheartened if it’s not working out for you. You just need to find your vibe and see what works for you. Don’t give up and keep on trying.

Sometimes, we just need to take a break from everything. Don’t be afraid to take a break when you feel like it’s all getting too much. Do something nice for yourself to relax, and you could even blog about it.

There’s nothing worse than being distracted or being hypnotised by YouTube videos and social media. Don’t keep clicking on the recommend YouTube video, instead put it away. Put your phone away, lock your distractions in one room if you need to, and get to work.

So, these are just some ways you can balance blogging with other life commitments you have. How do you balance blogging? What is the best advice you can give?

Thanks for reading!
Until next time, take care and keep smiling.
