How to stay happy

Before starting this post, I would like to highlight that you can’t ever stay happy forever. You will have problems in your life, and so does everyone else. It’s a part of life. But, you can do some things to become happier.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS & POSITIVE VIBES 

The best way to stay happy is by keeping positive thoughts and having positive vibes. Don’t let the negative thoughts drown you, instead allow the positivity to take over. It’s harder done than said, but it’s not impossible. Keep on thinking positive and you’ll feel free of toxic feelings. 

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH UPLIFTING & SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS 

The people you choose to surround yourself with will have a huge impact on your mood. They will influence you and encourage you, so surround yourself with people who support you. Life is too short so have good company around yourself, who bring out the best in you. 

MAKE MORE EXPERIENCES/MEMORIES AND TREASURE THEM 

Don’t be afraid to get out in the world and experience things for yourself. The biggest way you will learn is by experience. Experience will make you who you are, so get out there and experience what the world has to offer. Cherish the amazing memories you make along the way because one day you’ll look back at them. Make sure you have memories that will make you smile later in life. 

DON’T BECOME ATTACHED TO MATERIALISTIC THINGS 

Stop following the latest trends or following the hype. Learn to live a simplistic life and don’t become attached to materialistic items. You’ll feel freer if you don’t feel like a prisoner to your phone or wanting to purchase the latest items available. 

MAKE A LIST OF THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR AND KEEP ON ADDING TO IT 

Make a list of all of the things you’re grateful for in life and keep on adding to it. Keep a gratitude journal and have a different section for each page. Such as listing the memories you’re thankful for or what makes you the happiest. Keep looking back and no doubt it’ll make you feel better. 

DO THINGS FOR YOURSELF 

Don’t sacrifice yourself or your needs. If you know you need a break, then take one. Start doing more things for yourself. Do more things that your future self will thank you for. When you take time out to do more things for yourself, no doubt you’ll feel much happier.
