How to overcome your doubts.

Doubting yourself is the worst feeling ever. Many people doubt themselves and their ability. Most people even fail to recognise their real worth. In this post, I write about how you can overcome your doubts. 

1. Communicating 

The best way to overcome your doubts is by speaking to someone about it. Talking to someone who you trust will lift some of the pressure you feel. Keeping thoughts to yourself and letting it build will only make things worse for you. Our mind is a funny mechanism, and it likes to be negative more than being positive. So, the best thing you can do is speak to someone and just let it all out. Trust me, you will feel so much better afterwards! 

2. Don’t compare yourself to others 

Easier said than done, but it’s not impossible. It’s hard to do, but once you get into the habit of doing it, you will feel much better. In this day and age, social media plays a massive role in this. We’re almost becoming immune to comparing ourselves to someone. Seeing the ‘fake’ reality of how someone lives or what they have. It can really have a bad effect on you. This, in turn, can create doubts in your mind about yourself. As hard as it may be, just wish others well and concentrate on yourself. Once you start concentrating on yourself, you won’t have time for other people. Most of the doubts will disappear. 

3. Celebrate 

One of my life mottos is to celebrate each win, no matter how little or big, celebrate it! Treat yourself and celebrate in any way you want. 

4. Ignore the set-backs 

Don’t beat yourself too much over the set-backs you get. Try to understand that it’s normal to have set-backs. It wouldn’t be “life” if we didn’t get the set-backs. Instead, try to tell yourself that you had a setback, but something much better is to come (and it will). Try to be resilient. 

5. One step at a time

It doesn’t matter how small the step is, just keep moving forward. Don’t let your doubts get the better of you and keep on going. Just know that things will get better. 

6. Let go

Learn to experience your emotions and journey, so it helps you in the process of moving forward. Let go of your set-backs. Let go of your bad experiences. Let go of your bad vibes. Let go of all of your doubts. The only way you can truly let go is by facing your fears. In these hard times, you’ll need strength and courage. Remember that you have people around you to support you and help you through these times. Don’t be afraid to reach out.
